Prize Winning Eggs

Updated: Jan 23, 2022

Greetings from the farm!

For those of you local, you will know that this past week was the Putnam County Fair. This is always an exciting time for our community as for one week it provides an opportunity for fellowship and community with friends, some new and some lifelong. And like many things, it was especially sweet this year after a highly restricted fair last year.

Although our kids are still a couple of years from participating in 4-H, they were eager to find a couple of ways to participate in this year's fair. They were excited to enter their gardening and flower entries into the Little Sprouts Program at Harris Hall. The next day they decided to enter some of their brown eggs in the open class agriculture competition. After meticulously picking through 30 or so eggs, they settled on 3 that they thought were uniform. They were delighted the next day to find that out of 15+ entries of brown eggs, they received 2nd place!

We thank you for your continued support of their egg business. The self serve eggs on the porch seem to be very popular and user friendly. And thank you for your egg carton return!

My best,

Beth Tharp
